Abstract:

Wireless sensor networks (WSNs) are used in wide areas. These networks belongs to infrastructureless class of network. In infrastructureless networks communication is done via wireless medium and security becomes a major aspect of these networks. In wireless mode of communication messages are generally encrypted so that only legitimate users can access the message. Many cryptography algorithms are proposed for wireless sensor networks, but the performance relays on key management and distribution approach used. In this paper a survey is done on key management and distribution for wireless networks.
